Responsibilities included: use the tax preparation software to prepare income tax returns – learned about Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065 Form 1040 and related schedules; do quarterly payroll including the end of quarter payroll (tax reporting forms 940, 941, UCT-6, W2, W3, 1099, 1096); performed monthly write-up services and bank reconciliations, as well as making the appropriate journal entries as needed; prepared basic compiled financial statements and trial balances used to prepare income tax returns.
Learned to be very precise and accurate with data and the same time to follow the deadlines. Strengthened my professional language skills and got familiarized with various accounting software. Developed an understanding of “professional skepticism”.
