О себе

I am a young perspective specialist in Russian labour law&sbquo; especially in its gaps and defects. Initially&sbquo; I developed a deep interest in Labour law during my first BA degree in law and history at the Vologda State Pedagogical University&sbquo; where I took a course in labour law&sbquo; and did an internship in a consulting organization &ldquo;Verdikt&rdquo;. For that internship I made surveys of cases in the area of labour law&sbquo; combining their statistics&sbquo; and analyzing main reasons of failures.<br /><br />My second BA degree (external) at Moscow State Law Academy had a goal of learning general knowledge in jurisprudence that then helped me to learn labour law in correlation with other branches of law.<br /><br />Moreover&sbquo; I was involved in public activities (part-time) which were a result of study at School of Young Politicians where I learned main methods of elaboration and adoption authorities&rsquo; decisions. After that I was invited to a position of a Vologda Duma deputy&rsquo;s assistant for analysing questions of labour and employment&sbquo; taking part in developing texts of decisions in labour law. At the same time&sbquo; I was working with problems of youth employment in a youth public organization of Vologda region &ldquo;Youth Parliament&rdquo;. Together with that&sbquo; in Data-Analytical Center of the &ldquo;Youth Parliament&rdquo; I was analyzing decisions&rsquo; realization in area of labour and employment which gave opportunities to find problems and work up their solutions. <br /><br />Along with education and public activities&sbquo; I received significant experience of work as a lawyer (before 2007 usually part-time) that gave me deep practical skills in labour law and let me to look at defects of this system from a professional lawyer&rsquo;s position. <br /><br />In 2006 I moved to Saint-Petersburg because I was admitted to the Master&rsquo;s Programme in Labour Law at Saint-Petersburg State University which helped me to develop my knowledge in Russian labour law. During that study I learned about problems in general and special parts of Russian labour law&sbquo; in labour rights protection&sbquo; specific problems in legal regulation of managers&rsquo; and state employees&rsquo; labour. Moreover&sbquo; I received deep knowledge in problems of the areas closely related to labour law&sbquo; such as legal regulation of employment&sbquo; social insurance&sbquo; social partnership in labour relationships&sbquo; and so on. <br /><br />During the first year of the study I actively participated in a series of lectures by White &amp; Case and in a seminar &ldquo;White and Case Open Days for Legal Training&rdquo; which were both organized by the faculty&rsquo;s staff. There I received detailed information about international consulting organizations&sbquo; their interests at labour market and key elements as employers. <br /><br />As a part of the curriculum I did an internship in Law Clinic at Saint-Petersburg State University&sbquo; where I gave free consultations in labour law to low income people. <br /><br />By the end of that programme I conducted a research about deficiencies of labour law and wrote a Master&rsquo;s Thesis &ldquo;Gaps in legal regulation of labour relationships. Ways of their fillings.&rdquo; The topic of the thesis was determined by prevalence of gaps in legal regulation of this kind of relationships&sbquo; by little amount of publications&sbquo; and repugnancies in their conclusions. As a result of my work on the thesis&sbquo; I have defined a system of gaps in legal regulation of labour relationships&sbquo; correlated it with system of gaps in labour law and gaps in labour legislation. Moreover&sbquo; in the thesis I classified blanks&sbquo; determined essence of establishment&sbquo; filling up&sbquo; negotiation&sbquo; and elimination of gaps&sbquo; their correlation&sbquo; terms&sbquo; and procedure of realization. As a result&sbquo; the thesis was marked in the Report of Supervisor and in the Review of Critic and was awarded the highest grade. <br /><br />After the graduation my work on the topic of the thesis was continued. Particularly&sbquo; in Fall 2008 I participated in conference &ldquo;Gaps in labour law and welfare state law and ways of their elimination&rdquo; which was organized in The Institute of State and Law of The Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). After that&sbquo; my article &ldquo;Correlation of terms &ldquo;Labour Law&rdquo; and &ldquo;Gaps in It&rdquo;&sbquo; &ldquo;Labour Legislation&rdquo; and &ldquo;Gaps in It&rdquo; and Their Position in the System of Labour Regulation by Labour Law&rdquo; was published by The Russian Academy of Sciences in the Materials of the scientific conference (Moscow 21.10.2008). <br /><br />Moreover&sbquo; in Saint-Petersburg my knowledge in practice of labour law&sbquo; which was received during work as a lawyer in Vologda&sbquo; was supported by work at several positions in vice-rector&rsquo;s office at Saint-Petersburg State University. Last of them was Head of Vice-Rector&rsquo;s Office that helped me to look at problems in labour law from a manager&rsquo;s position. <br /><br />Currently&sbquo; I&rsquo;m actively creating an Internet-source at which will be organized consultations in labour law&sbquo; a forum&sbquo; and published some information about most sharp problems in labour law. Moreover&sbquo; I&rsquo;m working up with programmers and will upload online software that will let to generate labour agreements and other documents with different content which depends on a type of organization and position. As a result&sbquo; this source will help to observe labour rights&sbquo; to find new gaps&sbquo; and discuss most interesting problems in labour law. <br /><br />Finally&sbquo; the University of London has accepted my application and I became a student of the Universitie&#039;s Postgraduate External Programme in Laws that would give me a great knowledge in English law in nearest future.
