Responsible for developing local (US and Canada) marketing plans and initiatives for the 5 Haircare & Styling brands, based on global strategy and plans to maximize business opportunities in the US and Canada. Responsibilities include management and training of Assistant Brand Manager for Goldwell Haircare & Styling Category.
- Create Haircare & Styling category strategy for the US and Canada to include, distribution objectives, competitive positioning, pricing, promotion and communication support, profitability and budget management and coordination with Sales and Education strategy to meet overall goals of the company.
- Execute global initiatives for the US and Canada, as well as develop and execute local initiatives to meet marketplace needs and financial goals, including:
- Coordinating initiatives with internal departments and distribution networks (i.e. forecasting, planning, ordering, translations).
- Providing guidance and support to the field network to maximize potential.
- Maintaining budget and profitability goals for the category.
- Manage phase-in and phase out plans of new and obsolete products with the Supply Chain Management team.
- Develop plans for over-inventoried and slow moving items.
- Develop and execute the Marketing promotion calendar that include directly delivering sell-in presentations to distributors, meeting established timelines and budgets.
- Work with Sales and Education in the field (i.e. shows, sales meetings, planning meetings, detailing) in order to increase knowledge of the industry to help formulate and refine future initiatives.
- Collect systematic information from field through frequent interaction with salons, distributors, sales reps, and Education and Sales staff.
- Analyze information to determine best options, based on market and competitive activity, and make recommendations/proposals for business decisions to management and HQ.
- Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of Haircare & Styling brands to management. Incorporates sales performance and field feedback to measure effectiveness and future potential of programs.
- Communicate effectively with HQ brand management team, including providing feedback on new launches, providing local market information, providing feedback on needs based on local market situation
